DMAX Students Speak!
New Fall 2025: Open Mic for Mental Health!
Open Mic for Mental Health is an uplifting, interactive event where students take the stage to share personal mental health stories and creative works including poetry, music, short stories, spoken word, and more. Each performance offers a powerful glimpse into the lived experiences of young people navigating challenges like anxiety, isolation, or depression, and celebrates the resilience, hope, and love that carry them forward.
This isn’t just an event, it’s a space for Conversations That Connect®, where sharing becomes a catalyst for understanding, empathy, and community. For many attendees, hearing these authentic voices is the “aha!” moment when they truly understand what DMAX is all about.
Whether you’re there to perform or listen, you’ll leave feeling inspired, connected, and reminded that you’re not alone.
Open Mic for Mental Health is free and open to students and the public. Donations are always appreciated to help us bring more of these transformative events to campuses and communities.
