DMAX Foundation’s state-of-the-art internship program offers college students hands-on professional experience to complement their studies on campus. Consisting of fall, spring or summer internships (or a combination), students get to be an integral part of the operations of a growing nonprofit organization and make substantive contributions to its mission.

Each intern creates as part of their internship a capstone project based on their work that they present to DMAX staff and other interns, which they can then use as part of a professional portfolio. Some internships may be eligible for course credit.

Hear From Past Interns

Our talented interns have plenty to say about their time at DMAX!

The mission of DMAX is only supported by the truly amazing people behind it. I, overwhelmingly, felt the love and passion today during my presentation and our conversation afterward. I have never felt so loved and encouraged by a work group before. Thank you, all, for that!
— Kate, Fall 2022
I really appreciated that we as interns got to work so closely with the heads of a nonprofit – it really allowed us to see so much more than we would at a bigger organization, where we’d likely just be responding to one higher-up. I’ve definitely never felt so connected to the head of any organization or company that I’ve worked for.
— Emily, Summer 2022
A lot of internships are full of busy work and projects that don’t matter as much in the long run, but I felt that I was actually able to help DMAX with what knowledge and skills I was able to bring to the table.
— Khloe, Summer 2022
The internship was everything I hoped for and more! I got to see how a mental health non-profit works and how much goes into running the foundation that people at many other organizations don’t.
